Data, statistics, reduction of control times and human error, are just some of the features of the introduction of the digital component

The hardness tester and the digital component

The digital component is the core of innovation of the hardness tester, since the mechanical principle on which the test is based is essentially maintained.
Digital hardness testers are the evolution of analogue hardness testers: while analogue hardness testers provided the mere result of measurement, the introduction of more advanced digital systems has allowed the processing of data in terms of acquisition, storage and management.

Advantages of the digital hardness tester

In addition to a much more sophisticated data processing system, this integration has led to other important benefits for hardness tester users: greater measurement and visualization accuracy, with the consequent elimination of individual reading errors, the possibility of integration into automatic production lines and company databases, the automatic and fast conversion of the values of hardness between the most commonly used hardness scales (about 20).

Conversion scales

Regarding the hardness scales, the Cisam-Ernst offer includes its own conversion table for hardness values, elaborated in the course of 60 years of company history, through therefore an exceptionally high number of tests.
